WHAT IS PATIO VIVO?

We are a non-profit foundation that transforms the schoolyards of kindergartens, primary schools, and high schools into Learning Landscapes.

We see the schoolyard as a pedagogical tool that allows us to innovate in our country’s education and promote students’ physical, socio-emotional, and cognitive development. We champion inclusive and diverse spaces that foster positive coexistence, a sense of belonging, and 21st-century skills such as collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking.

We encourage outdoor, experiential learning, environmental stewardship, and a strong connection to nature. Every living schoolyard is also a tremendous opportunity to adapt cities to climate change, starting directly from schools.
